When we look at the lives of the rich and famous, we see that they have mastered personal growth. They’ve become very proficient at it. And you can be a great at it too. You just have to read a few motivational quotes. Read more than one. If you don’t know which ones I am talking about, you can go on Google and type in “motivational quotes”.
Seven Basic Elements
A personal development plan consists of seven basic elements. We will cover those in this article. These are time management, motivation, setting goals, personal growth, improving communication, and accepting and resolving conflict.
Time management is the most important element of personal growth. Without time management, you will never accomplish your goals. You won’t see progress. If you do accomplish things, it may be too little and too slow. Here’s a simple plan that will help you reach your goals and feel successful.
First, set a goal for yourself. Make sure it is big enough for you to achieve, but not so big that it might be impossible to achieve. Next, you will need motivation. You can get this from another place. My personal development plan includes reading the works of Robert Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, and many others.
Commitment To Personal Growth
Finally, you need to make a commitment to personal growth. I like to do it by writing. I create my plan by outlining each of the seven elements and explaining why I am making the change. I then write it down. At the end, I sign it aloud.
Here’s another quote from the famous motivational speaker, Les Brown: “If you don’t believe in yourself you don’t have a chance of becoming successful. It’s as simple as that. You either believe in yourself or you don’t. There’s not much in between.” -Les Brown
I encourage you to add the quote to your personal development plan. It will encourage you and keep you focused on your goals. It also provides a constant reminder to you to keep your priorities in check. And remember, it’s not just about the now. The future will take care of itself.
Think Back To Your Earlier Successes
You’re only as good as your last performance. If you’ve failed in the past, don’t let it get you down. Be discouraged, but don’t give up. Success takes time and practice. If you persist, you will get there.
So how do you know if personal development activities are working for you? Just think back to your earlier successes and identify where you made mistakes. Then repeat the process over again with new goals, until your list of errors becomes shorter and less frequent.
Keep repeating your personal development plan until it seems easier to remember. Write it down so that you can read it every day. Make sure that you work on the plan every single day. You might not see results overnight, but if you stick it out you’ll see the results you want.
So you can use motivational quotes to inspire yourself and to help others. But you need to follow your own personal growth plan. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get started today and you’ll be on your way to personal success, whatever that looks like. Whether that means making a personal development plan that includes you and your friends, or something more elaborate, it will help keep you on the right track toward your personal happiness and personal growth. And that’s the whole idea – personal growth is about taking your own direction and going for it.
