Sleep patterns and requirements also change as a person ages. Children and adolescents sleep more than adults but older adults (around 35 and above) need to sleep just as much as children and adolescents do, i.e. 7 to 9 hours every night. Unfortunately, many older adults sleep much less than they should. Some of them often have more trouble falling asleep while some are too busy working. Also, as the body ages, the sleep patterns change too. Your body secretes less melatonin, the hormone that promotes sleep. Their sleep also gets more sensitive and they easily wake up because of changes in the environment. Good sleep is extremely important for a happy inner and outer self. Sleep disorders such as insomnia is a common problem in adults today.

Twice a week, take out time from your schedule and go out with friends

Do not let life take such a toll on you that you forget to catch up with your friends. According to a survey, most people lose touch with their best friends after the age of 35. Their priorities do change and so do their schedules and they often get busy with their lives so much that they forget to keep in touch with their friends. But nothing elevates a woman’s mood as much as gossiping with her old buddies and school time friends.

Routine medical checkups become even more necessary after 30 as you need to get yourself tested for a lot of possible dangers, including cervical cancer and breast cancer. Even if you feel hale and hearty all the time, you should schedule an annual health checkup in order to rule out any possible dangers.
